By October 2003, the proposal for the erection of The Es’kia Institute had been developed and a business plan was submitted to the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund. The business plan sought funding for research and development into the building needs and plans as well as for cultural programmes and capacity development in The Es’kia Institute. With the partial grant from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund in August 2004, The Es’kia Institute has fulfilled the brief, chief among which was in the submission of concept designs for the architectural structure.
